Kelly and Soham’s engagement session felt like the perfect Detroit date night with a camera tagging along. After both moving to Michigan for work, these two quickly bonded over exploring new restaurants, discovering hidden gems around southwest Michigan, and building a relationship full of fun and adventure. So it only made sense to spend their session wandering through downtown Detroit, soaking in the city. We explored rooftops, alleyways, intersections, and tucked-away corners of the city, and every stop seemed to match their playful energy perfectly. These two could make standing in the middle of a crosswalk look romantic and somehow still laugh through the whole thing.
As the evening light softened, we made our way to the Detroit Institute of Arts for the perfect golden hour finish. Between the architecture, warm light, and the way Kelly and Soham look at each other, everything just clicked. Their joy is effortless and completely contagious, and you can feel the connection they share in every photo. If this session was any indication, their wedding later this year at The Henry Hotel is going to be filled with laughter, love, and one very packed dance floor. We seriously cannot wait to capture the next chapter of their story.
