Monica and Babu | Detroit Institute of Arts Engagement Photography

Monica and Babu’s engagement session was as fun-loving and full of personality as they are! We met up with them on a crisp, colorful Fall day, where they were ready to laugh, strike a pose, and maybe even outshine the leaves. As we wandered around the Detroit Institute of Arts, they brought their playful energy to every shot—whether it was spinning in front of murals, sneaking in some goofy faces, or making each other laugh uncontrollably. Their dynamic personalities made it feel more like a hangout than a photo session, and honestly, we wouldn’t have it any other way. As we explored, Monica and Babu fully embraced the art vibes of the DIA by creating some masterpieces of their own—turns out their “art” is pure joy and connection, and it photographs beautifully. Whether they were stealing kisses on the museum steps or showing off their most “artistic” poses (Babu’s signature finger guns may or may not have made an appearance), it was clear these two were made for each other. Their chemistry and humor were so contagious, we couldn’t stop smiling behind the camera. This session was a reminder that the best photos come from being unapologetically yourself, and Monica and Babu nailed it!
