Sean and Lucas’ wedding was the kind of day that makes you believe in love, laughter and dancing until your feet hurt. The morning began with Sean getting ready high above the city in a beautiful historic downtown building, surrounded by her best friends and a whole lot of champagne-fueled excitement. Lucas waited patiently outside the iconic Michigan Central Station, and when Sean finally tapped him on the shoulder, their emotional first look had everyone reaching for tissues. From there, the whole crew made their way to Coriander Kitchen in Detroit’s vibrant Canal District, where the personality of the place matched the joy of the day perfectly.
The ceremony was heartfelt, the food was out-of-this-world, and the reception felt more like the best dinner party you’ve ever been to, if dinner parties came with farm-to-table food, nonstop dancing, and a crowd that knows how to celebrate. The energy never dipped and the smiles never faded. Just when it felt like things couldn’t get any more cinematic, we caught Sean and Lucas sneaking in a final dance under the string lights before slipping into their getaway car with classic tin cans trailing behind. It was quirky, beautiful and full of soul, just like the two of them.
